Building the Wing

Main Wing. Ready for a lot of work. No metal in this wing. 100% Carbon fiber. The forward wing spar is lighten enough to lift up.

Working on the gear box. All the weight of landing will be absorbed in this box. Carbon fiber is a great material. It suck to work with. If you have ever worked with fiber glass this stuff is worse. You itch for days.

Finishing off the tank seal. As with most aircraft fuel tanks; the wing is called wet. This means all the fuel is inside of the wing. No bladder. This stuff smells like rotten eggs.

Everything inside the wing is complete. The last thing to do is add Hysol (super super glue) and place the top wing skin in its final resting place.

And a finished wing. Ready to mate to the hull, check alignment, and send to paint.
