Day 20. Project Iron Wolf

10 March 2008

A full day to tear down the engine. Not to bad looking; No show stoppers. Just an engine that has not been ran for two years. I will be taking block and heads and having them dipped, magna fluxed, decked, honed, balanced, and heads port/polished and rebuilt. When it is all said and done; I should have about $6500 in a full running MPFI beautiful motor.

Tappet and push rods.

Valve train looks good. Need to be cleaned up and rebuilt.

Inside the pistons, No scoring or damage. A good hone job will do.

Crank, Crank rods. looks great. Get them balanced.

Looks like a bit of work putting that back together. Two years is a long time for a machine not to be used.

Whilst your working away at it, some relavant music maybe required. I just found the awesome new, digitally remastered Airwolf soundtrack that they've just released called 'Airwolf Themes' which you can download off Apple iTunes Store, or from their official website where there are great teaser samples, http://www.airwolfthemes.com/

Best of luck with the rebuilding project, dude.
